Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Rothenburg skyline

Tauber Valley

Katie Gage and me
Us girls have to stick together when the men aren't around!

Sign hanging in the gasthof we stayed in
There definitely are some things that are lost in translation.

Rain, rain go away!
Katie and Baby Haylie (under the rain sheild)

My umbrella isn't working!

Night watchman tour
It rained almost the whole tour! The kids were troopers. I think Allen actually listened. Gideon had to pee a lot during the tour. I hope the grass appreciated him. Lincoln cried some of the time and the rest just enjoyed having an umbrella to keep the rain off.

The criminal museum was the highlight for Allen. We had to coax him out of there after three floors of looking at torture implements, shame masks, and chastity belts. He was fascinated. By the third floor, the rest of us were done.
It's the Child Catcher from Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang
We all took a turn in th stocks.

On the inside the fun continues:

This is the manhole. If the city gates closed and you weren't inside for the night, you had to pay to gain entrance to get home.
This one is for you babe!

Isn't he just so cute?

more cuteness

The boys found a sculpture in the gardens and they did what boys like to do best: climb!

Look at these two hotties!

Who says playgrounds are just for kids?

I know it's bad to covet but - OH MY GOSH...I'm so jealous! What a wonderful and incredible experience you and your boys are having. Although I'm sure it's tough with your hubbie gone.
