Summer time continued to be very busy as we tried to slip in a birthday party with friends for Gideon. The poor guy has missed out on parties because moving time always falls around his birthday. I had to slip one in. On the day before we drove out to Utah for my sister's wedding shower, we made it possible.
Gideon wanted a star wars party, so the cupcakes had light sabers and stormtroopers on top, and I ordered a Darth Vader pinata. This is the spoils contained inside.
Afterward, I let them loose outside to slip n' slide and run through the sprinklers. Unfortunately, the slip n' slide only lasted 5 minutes before it was popped. That is when we just used the sprinklers. It didn't matter. The kids still had fun. The important thing was that Gideon enjoyed himself and he knows he is loved. Thank you to those who participated in this fun day.
