We just completed our second session of swimming lessons. We had so much fun! Twice a week for 16 weeks we have made it a tradition to swim. Once a week the boys get out early, so we would head to the pool to swim together before swimming lessons started. Lincoln now has his new goggles and will go underwater if I am holding his hand on the stairs of the pool. This is progress. Gideon said it best when he exclaimed that he could swim without floaties! His teacher told me at the end of one lesson that he had mentioned that he was a champion swimmer! Allen is a great diver. He gets his workouts swimming the length of the pool. He successfully completed level 4 and is looking forward to level 5 this summer. After that, life guard? Swim team? That is as high as the swimming lessons go at the Activity Center. We will just have to practice a lot to keep his skills up. It is nice getting a break from washing swimming suites and towels twice a week and not smelling chlorine all the time, but I look forward to the time it starts up again. It was a great family experience.
