One thing we can do with all this wind

One thing that you can always count on around here is the afternoon wind.  We are in a prime location for kite flying.  In Germany, we could only fly our kites in the spring and fall while the weather changed, but here, we can get all the kite flying pleasure that we desire....that is, until someone tangles a string and can't get the knot undone.  Then when your kids don't clean up after they are done, the kite sits out for another week and the tangles become unmanageable.  We will have more kite flying fun after we get the knots out or after I break down and buy another kite, whichever comes first.
