Breakfast was always fascinating for the boys each morning. The back wall of the breakfast room was a huge aquarium. Breakfast just can't compete with fish!
Who just wants to stand while riding the underground? Boring!
Yes, we are proud to be tourists.
In front of the Parliment Building
Westminster Abbey was amazing! Bruce was such a sweetheart and occupied himself with taking the kids through the worksheet they provided for us while I listened to the audio guide. The history is amazing and the people buried there is another wonder.
The Monument built by Sir Christopher Wren to commemorate the fire in London
This is a replica of the Golden Hinde which Sir Francis Drake sailed around the world in. The boys lived to explore the ship and pretend to be sailors of the sea. We learned that a sailor's life was very difficult, many hoping to get rich through their trade, but very few making it big. Life on the ship was disgusting at times and the consequences were severe for any bad conduct.

Can't you tell they are absorbing all the info from the guide?
Captains of our ship
Bruce wanted to document the cool urinals he found at a WC near Hyde Park.
Pretty exciting babe.
After a long day of sightseeing, we topped it off by returning to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground. We could have spent an entire day alone here. The boys were enthralled with the pirate ship, the musical instruments, and all the nooks and crannies they could explore.
Watch out for the sand monster!
