What do you do on your son's birthday? We celebrated by pulling our boys out of school and spent the day in Grand Junction. We started the day with a great pancake breakfast. Can't you tell? It is always great to start off the day with a good laugh. We thought it would be fun to try out the Math and Science Center, though our expectations were low. How good could it be in a small town? But we came away amazed at the fun our boys had.
One area held a lot of insects. The boys seemed to enjoy hunting for the hidden bugs in their habitat. Lincoln especially spent a lot of time here. He would not leave until he got a picture of every single bug display.
Everyone could have stayed here another few hours, had we the time. They have begged to go back. Anyone want to come with us? You just have to come and visit, and we will take you there. We had an important appointment to keep. We enjoyed a pizza lunch at Pablo's Pizza, the best pizzeria you will eat at. We can take you there too. Then we headed to my OBGYN's office to get the biggest surprise Allen got for his birthday: is it a boy or girl?
We all anticipated the answer, but I wasn't the least surprised when the doctor declared it a GIRL. We will finally have a little more frills and feminine things around our masculine house. Gideon was excited, but I think the rest of the crew has had to get used to the idea.
