It has been some months since I have blogged about our lives, so I wanted to hit the highlights before I blog about our recent excursion. After London we managed to pull together a birthday party for Gideon with some of our fun friends. We opted for a water party, since it was August, but no one bothered to tell the weatherman. The kids did play the games and have fun getting wet, but it was chilly for the time of year. Gideon enjoyed his pinata and presents and all those water balloons that we filled. He could say that after his party he was finally 5. Before his party he would always tell us that he wasn't 5 yet even though the 11th had already passed. In his mind, he just couldn't possibly have a birthday without a party.
