We ventured into the Popsicle world. She breaks off the top with her fingers and feeds herself. No licking for her!
This is the before picture of our house. The after picture will follow at the end of the summer. We are doing a lot of work.
We put in fruit trees this year! We will have apricots, peaches, nectarines, apples, cherries, and plums if we are lucky!
Lincoln celebrated his 6th birthday on our trip to St. George. Bruce planned a canyoneering trip to Zions National Park and it turned into a vacation. I had Lilli, Lincoln, and Gideon and my sisters drove down to enjoy a condo with a pool and clubhouse while Bruce and Allen pulled up a sleeping bag and enjoyed the outdoors.
We went to an airplane museum (I didn't take any pictures with my camera, my sisters need to supplement) that had 5 airplanes but the tour guide was nice and the kids had fun posing inside on of the cockpits. The second museum was the dinosaur museum. There were some fun things, but let's face it. This is St. George and not Fruita, CO (The kids and I have an annual membership here).
We ended the day with a fun swim in the pool. The second day we found a park with a splash pad to let the boys have some fun. Lilli loved it too. She wasn't sure at first, but quickly became excited with getting drenched. Then Emilee and I did a little fun shopping. Love the import store we went too (The Bodega), found a few thrift stores, then had to head back to the condo because Ashley got locked out. The battery on the door lock went dead.
So we did what anybody would do, and went to get some drinks at Swig to pass the time while we got in touch with the owner of the condo. Great times!

Sunday was a great day. We all woke up tired from the previous two days and headed to church. After sacrament meeting, Emilee and Ashley headed home and I decided it was time to take a nap! So Gideon and Lincoln watched Veggie Tales while Lilli and I drifted off to dreamland. I woke up feeling soooo much better and decided that we would venture out. We drove to the St. George temple to enjoy the visitors center and the temple grounds. Great way to spend the Sabbath!
The boys enjoyed pushing the buttons on the inside exhibit and all Lilli wanted to do was go outside and climb the stairs. We all enjoyed the Spirit there and loved being outside in the warm weather. We headed for the Jacob Hamblin home after we were done at the temple. Jacob Hamblin was a missionary sent to do work among the Native Americans. We got the tour and then Gideon and Lincoln both attempted to climb the trees outside.
After getting back to the condo we decided to play a game of Qwirkle. For those of you who have never played, it is a fun game. Lincoln is the grand champion. But this time, I kicked his butt. Then not to long afterward, Bruce and Allen stumbled in. We got to eat dinner then go swimming together as a family. Going on vacation is a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well. It is always great coming home and seeing things with a fresh perspective.

And lastly (until I download more pictures), Lincoln completed his year of Kindergarten. He had a great teacher and loved learning at school. At the graduation ceremony, the kids showed some of the songs they got to learn this year and each child got a certificate and got to tell us what they wanted to be when they grew up. Lincoln said he wanted to be a teacher. Lincoln got to pass out donuts for his birthday, give his teacher a final hug, and then we walked out the door and down the sidewalk. Summer officially began!
