The next day we woke up to our continental breakfast and clouds. We got ready, and left to pick up John (Bruce's brother) from the airport before heading to the beach for some fun family time. We had planned on a BBQ with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and the guests of honor Mom (Beth) and Dad (Phil) Hoggan, who were able to fly all the way from Germany to be with us.
At first, everyone stuck to the sand. It was warm, which was more than you could say for the air. The sun popped out a bit, but with the wind going, its effect was not great.

Once the kids did decide to get into the water, we couldn't get them out. How do they do that? I would freeze. All of mom's (Beth's) siblings were huddled under blankets at the picnic table! The boys had fun seeing the cousins they don't get to very often. We loved seeing Cody & Jayla and fam, and VJ. The food was great, but the company was even better. Even if I had to wear 2 jackets just to stay warm. It was a day well spent.
